Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada and is best known to Canadians because of her character as a Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy show Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea and a'que te love. She is also a dancer and is also a model. She was born in Montreal and has resided in Texas since her childhood and always loved dancing. At a very young age, she has studied a variety of dance styles. When she was 15, she competed in beauty competitions. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia achieved fame after she won a spot on Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2008. Her acting debut came in the year 2010, playing receptionist in the Telemundo TV show Aurora. The year 2015 saw her appeared in her debut film, the action-drama Tattooed Love. For her performance on Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
