Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into the limelight in 1994 when she debuted her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number. She was only 15 at the time and the album was later renamed Gold. It was made as an album that was heavily inspired by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. She collaborated in 1996 alongside Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which included the top-rated hit song If You Only Knew. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals through the album. In 2000, she co-starred with the famous martial arts star Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Her role came about following an interview with producer Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002 she had the opportunity to appear in the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was inspired by Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her first role in The Matrix Sequels. She is the first generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation used for her husband's first name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for professional names. Though she initially had tiny film and television roles, her acting started becoming more popular in the middle of 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her other notable works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) In addition, she has appeared in important commercials for brands like Volvo which is an international automobile manufacturer. She continues her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
